Our Impact Around the Globe

Standard Textile strives to improve the lives of our customers, and we understand that those who need our products the most are likely not able to access them. For this reason, we participate in numerous relief causes around the globe.

One that is dear to our hearts is MedShare, which creates Clean Birthing Kits that provide women, midwives and community health workers in medically underserved communities with the tools they need to protect mothers and infants during childbirth.

Standard Textile has an ongoing relationship with MedShare and recently made our largest gift yet with a donation of 5,000 receiving blankets to be used in MedShare's Clean Birthing Kits. The blankets are a critical item in each kit, providing warmth and contributing to temperature regulation for newborn children.

This is just one of the ways we pursue our mission of improving lives and changing the world for the better.  Standard Textile has a longstanding reputation for giving back on both a local and national level. The company supports a number of organizations, including Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Boatsie’s Boxes, the United Way and the American Red Cross.

As Disaster Responder Program Members for the Red Cross, Standard Textile donated towels to shelters for the victims of the devastating floods onset by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and parts of Louisiana.

Standard Textile is led by CEO Gary Heiman, who has instilled this culture of giving. “At Standard Textile, we emphasize the importance of helping communities, from foundations in the Cincinnati area to relief organizations nationwide,” he says. “As a company, our mission is to provide comfort and quality to all who use our products, and we extend that value to assisting individuals in need.”

Driven by Purpose

Standard Textile is committed to operating manufacturing facilities that treat our employees fairly, comply with applicable legal requirements, respect the environment, and make a positive contribution to the communities where they are located.

Also, we expect suppliers with whom we work to manage their facilities and employees in a similar manner.  We require these partners to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which requires their compliance with applicable employment, health and safety, customs and environmental laws.

To ensure adherence to this standard, Standard Textile requires our suppliers be audited and certified through the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) Certification program or another comparable program that ensures supplier compliance with our code of conduct. Regardless of differing legal and cultural settings in which factories operate throughout the world, we insist on this standard being met.
